im pretty sure u mean the gymnast start of flare i aint heard of any olympic start. itz pretty hard to explain but n e way
wat u do is start in a push-up position with ur legs spread. u then want to pivot (i dont know what other word to use, u sorta have to turn the ground like a wheel?) ur body in the opposite direction that ur flare will go. once in that pivot position u want to swing ur body out to the front and then go into the flare motion (do not pike and try to force ur body to quick to the front, keep ur body straight). the main reason why bboys find this hard is becuz there flare differs, since bboys think more height (and usually pike there body) and gymnasts think more of getting the body out and horizontal towards the front and back. |

DNB, i know what start you are talking about...i can do it, but not as good as some people out there (sumal)...i don't know what it is called, but it sure as hell is not the olympic start...my friend calls them german flares, while this other dude calls em universal flares...i have no clue as to which term is right
