i think i have the same prob with impulse but when i get past the back i cant seem to open my legs and it looks like messed up circles and then i fall on my butt

awesome guide, and good that he took up flare problems instead of flare answers... you learn from your mistakes
but there's only one prob i got that isn't listed, i do my flare with superb momentum and everything and it looks good, a miniflare is easy now, i can bust that, but when i try to keep going and swing my legs to the back i land on my stomach instead... anyone who can help? would be supreme... ![]() |

flares require alot of experimenting. if you don't have enough power, experiment. seriously, try straighten your legs even more, wider legs, different ways of kicking or swinging your hips, shoulder and hand controls. i bet you guys know all of this stuff, but seriously, you don't know how important they are. if you strengthen your form, you're dramatically get better.
-make sure your hips are always outside of your body, not underneath. like you're doing a flare on a stool. -form, your legs must have good form, wide and straight. if your legs don't. then you're losing alot of power and leg height. when you get better leg form, you should naturally feel how to swing your legs with all the momentum. people are always avoiding this one, but its very important. i suggest a proper spotter, a good friend that can judge your form on flares well without any pussy response. or even better, a video. -shoulder and hand control, this is where you need to tough it up and be able to hold up your self up and control your hips and legs. practice straight, locked arms. practice leaning your upper body to the side to balance yourself and get proper control. if your legs are in the back, lean forward. if your legs are in the front, kinda lean back. if your legs are on the side, lean to the opposite side. |

ya man haha a lot of your guys problems sound the same as mine, get around for the first one but cant start the second, i dunno i think i jus gotta practice more haha and ya im gonna experiment like ya guys say
btw i wanna get a camera that can get clips for the computer, so like any good ones ya guys have? |

dude, i'm telling ya, its form!!!!
keep kicking up and high to the side, and keep on kicking under the leg thats above. thats what i concentrated to continue, its hard, but you'll start to feel it. the feeling cannot be described. but you have good momentum and power. you feel like you can really keep going. |

ok, ok... wait a minute now.... so if i'm correct and according to all the flare threads and stuff i've read, then you have to do at least these thing : swing your legs horizontal (not to much up, or else you'll fall down faster), after you've reached 180 degree in your circular motion (you must pretend kicking your own head to give yourself height), when it comes to the backwards circ. motion (you must have arm strength and push your lower body up like a planche), and you have to put your arms down in the correct timing... is that all? or is there more, or less?

OK. i got this problem. i know that straight legs are very important in flares, but i just can't keep making them straight, they go bent almost naturally. any tips please? thank you all.

hey..........i've seen some1 doin a flare with his leg form bent a bit n his legs arent wide..........but sumth like cirlce.........but not closed..........it's open juz a bit like when u r standin..........his legs r sumth like dat..........his windmill's leg also the same.........
