Mode vs. Jroc keystyle battle - 02-12-2005, 07:34 PM

mode'll drop more knowledge than a bunch of nerds,
i wont duck 'n swerve 'cos none of your punches hurt,
straight up, J's a bitch i'ma paint his frame in brains 'n shit,
he's lame with spits, he's good at losing, hell i trained the kid,
listen understand man i slaughter crews in a minute,
so why the fuck you even thinkin that you any different,
'n i'm seein the gimmick kiddin when he said could spit 'n,
i'ma kick in his lip 'n his clique can swim with the fishes,
let mode flip 'n break ya neck, ignite 'n blaze ya text,
the amazin vet put this dog to sleep 'n stained in red,
freak, go eat a phallace, know modes beef is callous,
shook the first verse, lets see how long J keep's his 'balance'

let me correct you, better yet learn from the best dude,
hall-a fame my ass when ya bite what the rest do,
sure it's history but aint nothin' change, mode's still as lame,
ya thought respect was due just by changin' ya name,
frame me 'n shit, my brain will send flames ta ya quick,
like life without money mode's just a bitch..

ya know ya love how i flow like watchin' me piss in the clinic,
chronicled like riddick, but this kid is just ridiculous,
quick ta grab my dick 'cause i know he 'feelin' this',
i'm venomous, a speech cobra, a drunken bastard mode's just sober,
scared he'll drop dead when i spike his corona,
quit spittin' i own ya, the mic alone can have ya strangled,
mode's the type ta get bucked like a horseman's saddle,
who wanna battle this boy's been embarassed,
like a maimed champion he aint worth the challenge..

aight, the breakdown

mode:
both ya verses had nice flow. first verse, wasn't feelin the opener and punches were not as hard as usual. stepped it up a lil in the second verse, verse came a lil more solid.

jroc-
flow was iffy in spots. wasn't feelin your opener in the first one either. liked the line bout gettin respect by changin his name. overall though, both your verses i wasn't feelin that much.

ionno, i think that both people are capable of a lot more, i wasn't feelin this battle too much. vote for mode, first verses were pretty close, but mode took it in the second.

it's all about tha funk

aight get back to your corners and lick ya wounds........

mode--your first verse was like mmeeeeehhhhhh. i mean it flowed and stuff but wasn't your norm. nothing stood out in ya first verse. your second one was loads better. it came wit flow and good flips and shit. like ya really came at em. it gave ya some respect back. but yeah good one.

Jroc--i didn't get the end of ya first verse. but there was some good stuff in it. good personals and flo was on. definitally better than than modes first but not by far. verse two was also good stuff. not as personal but had some good lines. but i think his was better than yours here.

Winner---MODE for beter combo of verses. his second killed it

nice little battle here, I enjoyed it and it was close

Mode- Flowed pretty nice in the first verse but with nothing too direct at J. The second was upped a notch and I was feelin' the shoreline line, that was nice and it flowed well into everything else.

J- I was feelin ya first verse with all the personals and it just targetted right on mode. You definately owned it up in the first verse and the flow was good too. I was feelin the ender and the fishes line. The second verse wasn't on par with your first and that just made it seem like mode came that much better in the second because you dropped off from the first. Wasn't feelin much of the punches at all.

Overall, J took the first verse and mode the second. If J slipped in just a few nice lines in the second, he would take it for sure but Mode was just more balanced in his verses. His second wasn't as good as people are saying but it was just better than his first. Damn, it's a shame to give it to Mode because of Jroc's first verse that just killed it, but he just didn't deliver in the second to make it balance off. Mode was more balanced throughout even though his highlights weren't as dope as J's.

So, to me, J had better highlights, but Mode just came more often. In light of this, I have to give it to Mode on the account of the balance.

Vote- Mode
