I love the coindrop I find it very useful to wow people who dont bboy. It's also very easy.

It does take some practice so as to not make it hurt your back when you do it, what with all the twisting and the dropping to a hard floor action involved. How do you do it? what problems do you have when it hurts your back? Keep in mind that the coindrop is for the most part a rolling motion as you remain high on your back, much like a windmill. If you dont roll correctly, your torso could twist incorrectly and create some discomfort.

For example, I move counterclockwise, so when I coindrop (from standing) I roll onto my left arm, to my left shoulder, to (high) on my back (head tucked in), to my right shoulder and then to my right arm as my right toes finally touch the ground. If there is a problem with getting high on your back, remember basic leg movement: twist it as you come around on your shoulder and KICK them up as you are on your back. If you kick hard enough, you could just land right back on your feet.

But you might know all of this already, sorry i just have to reiterate how to basically coindrop for others reading this thread. I don't know what problems you have when you experience pain in your back, just that, in my experience, rolling incorrectly is the most common cause.

for rolling moves like mills and such, momentum is everything. So... yes.
