corkscrew isn't a drop, at least not from what I know, a corkscrew is a kick-up with a 180 twist so you land facing the opposite direction.

The concept isn't hard which is what makes the move easy, no crazy physics or understandings to learn. I just learned it on my own, they aren't perfect, but I also don't stress them or practice them often.
Basically, roll back as if you going to do a kick up, but when you push off use one of your hands to push you to the side. I push with my left hand towards the right, then kick a bit harder with my right leg and do a clockwise 180 degree turn. Don't worry if you can't get the full half spin at first, as long as you can begin to turn than you probably have the right idea.

as far as a corkscrew down used as a drop goes, it's also known as a sleeper ( usually you sleeper down and corkscrew up , but w/e )
put one foot behind the other, and twist yourself down to the floor by bending your knees
that easy
you must have been a bgirl.... because the only moves that you pulled on me were heartbreakers

insane corkscrew is a headspin. ive never heard of a drop called a corkscrew, or a kip up called a corkscrew either, but i think the kip up is worth learnin. the sleeper thing.. i could just use a sweep drop and turn 180 during the helicopter.

Now i am new at bboying but in the jam skating world a corkscrew is a jumping spin where you land in a crossed leg/sitting position. Almost like sitting indian style.

a bboying corkscrew is usually just a knee drop spin up...
a tricking corkscrew is a horizontal gainerfull.
moves i got
all variations of footwork, toprock, uprock, turtles, helicopter/coffee grinder(1 and 2 handed), skyscraper, (air)chair, planche, kip up, no handed kip up, swipes, front handspring, front tuck, 2 handed air baby, super duper L kick, 1 legged swipes, handglides, crickets, windmills (stabbed), both ways leg hops, scissor kicks, back handsprings/back tucks, flash kicks, double legs, fulls, double fulls, front fulls, kick fulls, pretty much any crazy tumbling pass, and wallflips.
pm me and i'll help u with any of those moves

Okay - I've been promising clips of these basic drops for a LONG time now.
I'll get them made and post them up ASAP.
In the meantime...
Sleepers and corkscrews are different.
Kneedrop and twist up is not a corcscrew - I've always heard that called a "colt 45" (also described as such by Zulu Gremlin on the bboy.org dvd)
I'll get my act together and make the clips in a few days.
I'll head up to the studio I work at and make some decent clips for the basic 4 drops.
I've got time and space - Think I'm running out of excuses to not do it now.
LoL
A bboy without style, is like a broken pencil.
There's just no point.

A corkscrew is usually when you are rolling on your shoulders and you push/stab the ground with your head and rotate in mid air kind think of a corkscrew flip. Insane corkscrew are called drills, you can also use corkscrew for a great ending of a windmill or windmill combo!

The corkscrew isn't a drop at all; like electron said before, it is actually known as a sleeper. Many people get the two mixed up or misuse the name corkscrew because the sleeper looks like one. Just put one foot in front or behind the other, and untwist yourself while you drop to the floor by bending your knees. Its that simple. Its a good drop to go from toprock to footwork.
