Corkscrew Question -
09-15-2009, 08:23 PM
Im having trouble with the corkscrew. When I tuck my foot behind my knee to go down, it gets caught as I go down and kills the backside of my kneecap. Also When I go down I have a hard time keeping my balance as I come back up. Any advice/vids/guides?

hm I don't understand how it gets caught...
so when you start a corkscrew drop you have one foot in front and slightly crossed over the other like if you're starting your normal knee drop but reversed (if I do a knee drop with my left knee I start my corkscrew with right leg out). Then, you turn while lowering your body and you should see how the drop works if you go through this motion slowly. about going back up: just keep practicing it and it gets more stable i'll make a video if you're still confused. |

arms help balance btw. twisting them in the same direction while going up helps.

heres my crappy corkscrew... i dont tuck the foot anywhere i just kick like how i would kick a soccer ball and whip my arms like how i would whip for a fulltwist...
Oh and if you stick our your chest off your launch(When you throw your amrs up) you give you more height, this video is about 4 months old... i gotten better at my corks. |
