Continuous No-handed Coin Drops - 08-02-2009, 04:47 PM

Can anybody give me some pointers on getting up from a no-handed coin drop without using my hands? Like, coin-dropping straight to the feet, no hands involved. Whenever I try, I end up using my hands, and I can't quite get to my feet without them.

Start pushing up with only the hand opposite of the collapse shoulder. You'll get to a point where you start rolling off your head and bouncing up... at first when this happens you'll be off balance and fall over, there's a trick to placing your legs properly to hold your center and allow you to whip up. it's hard to explain but just start by using the hand opposite of your rolling shoulder. You should find this a good exercise to start with.

Thanks MaDD. Will using the head be necessary? I usually don't use my head but it's something I gotta work on anyway.

I don't think using the head is necessary, I've seen people do it without it.
I think its the kick when your dropping onto the ground, the stronger the kick, the less you'll need your hands .
