just got the serato, freagin love it, its so ncredible, an the cutting on it is sick, now im ready to strt making my own mixes n mashups etc,but how to i record my mixes, all i have is a laptop thats i use with my serato and my turntables and mixer, no preamp or anything.. i just have my mixer hookup to my surround sound system....basic lil 5 speaker system, so how do i record my own mixes...... i also have a desktop on the side i dont use since i use my laptop but can if necessary... i'd also like to know how to record my vinyl's to laptop, like my super seals and such, i'll also records my scratch records and post up the mp3's for anything looking for official samples. i also have this one record with some sick a$$ break beat loops, some of the sickest beats ive heard i can share as well, lmk people im anxious to step my game up

guess you figured this out already. if not, it explains how to record vinyl in the manual i think. you can download it from the serato site if you didn't get a manual. also there is a forum thatll answer most tech questions.

you'll need an RCA to 1/8 input cable to run from your mixer to your laptop input. There are several audio recording programs out there for so just look around. I use Audacity usually but I record on my desktop instead of my laptop. Try and find a software that doesn't eat up a lot of RAM so serato will still run smoothly.

The scratchlive.net support section has several articles for recording your vinyl to your laptop. I'd recommend using a good needle and if you can afford it pick up a power conditioner so you don't get a lot of noise in your recordings.
