You've heard just about every hip-hop. jazz, rap, techno, rock, funk break beat mix there has possibly ever been made.

However have you ever heard a break beat made out of a theme from an anime series?

well I'm pretty sure NONE OF YOU HAVE!

But if you have, and you have the mp3 for such a mix, post it up and we'll see, as all of us on the DJ forum, if it has what it takes to be a breakable BREAK BEAT!

Anime series theme songs tend to be one of two things. Either a rock song or a pop song. Making one into a "Break Beat" wouldn't be revolutionary or really worth any amount of effort unless the original song is good by itself.

The intro the GANTZ, "Supershooter" was breakbeat- kinda. It's a tad too fast for me, though.

Remember, I'm not just talking about DBZ, fullmetal, naruto, or simple shit like that. When I say ANIME, I MEAN EVERY LAST POSSIBLE ANIME THAT HAS EVER BEEN CREATED, INCLUDING THE ONES THAT NEVER MADE IT TO AMERICA!!!!!

Cowboy Bebop for instance is all JAZZ BODY BOY, and ghost in a shell, well, certain parts came be selectively taken, tossed down on the mixing, looped, then with a little from a drum beat, can get you a sweet break beat!

Your right, however, just slow it down in audacity and you got your self a kicking break beat!

Actually I kinda have... all I need to do is speed up Hero's Come Back and then it's pretty easy to break with - wouldn't be surprised at all if it was done

Great call man. But has anyone realized that one of the best animes to go for a sweet beat is Cowboy Bebop. Sure it takes a lot of effort to work it out, but when its all said and done, its great.

Keep the post coming! I mean if I really wanted to, I could make a break beat out of Gigantor, Mobile Suit Gundam, or Dragon Ball (not DBZ or DBGT, just DB)!
