How long does it take to master breakdance step by step DVD?? - 03-02-2008, 09:41 PM

How long does it take to master all the breakdance moves in "breakdance step by step DVD"??
I'm planning to spend 2 hours everyday during summer breakdancing.
From your experience, could you tell me how long (months or years) it took you to master all the moves from the dvd?

Thanks

it really depends how well you get the hang of it. the basic moves dvd it could probably take a couple of months depending on how well you do

the power moves will probably take longer. like i said, it really depends how well you get the hang of it. you could be a natural at it, or you can just plain suck

not to mention you have to mention possible injuries, and other roadblocks that may cause you to fall behind. such as flexibility for some moves such as head holllows

The flares instruction was detailed and well explained. However, I have trouble getting continuos flares or getting them to swing to the back so I'm in a handstand like position. I mastered the basic moves in just a month.

No one really masters moves. No one can master the art of b-boy.

One is only a student of the dance form, for life.

As long as you practice, I would say like a month and a half to master all of it, that's how long it took me.

no its doable just put time in and do it regularly how fast you will improve is all based on your natural ability and previous dance experience

if you look at the zulu gremlin master class the chick in the red shirt on the right (for most of the filming from the one camera angle) is good and picks up the moves quickly whereas the chick on the left in the black shirt is not nearly as good.

ehhh i did that click2dance thing, it just matters on how determined you are.. some moves come easiy for others and it matters on how well you condition your body to these moves. it took me like 2 weeks to get pretty decent windmills, like a few days to get swipes, and its taking me forever to do continuous flares... its just on how much time you put into it and like i said how determined you are to get better.
