No Hard floor - 10-31-2007, 08:02 PM

Hello everyone,

I have recently ordered the "Breakdance step-by-step" dvd but haven't received it yet.

I need to ask a question. By looking at the free intro videos of the dvd and from other sources, this moves are possible on a hard floor. But I live in an apartment which is all carpeted. I know i can always practice in a gym or college class rooms. but i really wana start from home u know, as i suck at it and a total beginner.

What do i do about this? I can't remove the carpet. Is there anything out in the marked which i can buy and put on top of my carpet to have a hard surface?

any help or advise would be highly appreciated.

theres no harm in doing it on your carpet floor in your apartment, just make sure u have enough room for moves.

i just received the DVD by mail. two questions...

1) am i suppose to do the Warm Up exercise every time before practicing top rock, foot work and stuff?

2) should i wear sneaker (shoes) at all times or without them is fine as well?

i know guys, these are very stupid questions lol.

I'm not sure about warm up, but it's always best to wear sneakers if you can. Since when you break in public you'll prolly be wearin sneakers, it's best to practice in them so you can get used to them.

yeah stretching is good but stretch for what your about to do so u dont over do it. Sneaks is a must like SM73 said you'll be doin it outside someday anyway. Also dont worry about the whole practicing in front of people u gonna get critics everywhere and where ever u go it'll also build up your confidence. Peace
