Hey.

I just got the DVD earlier today and I've watched more than half of it already. All I can say is that it's great! I've already learned at least 5 moves(basic of course) and have revised a few others. And those Braggin Rites and Chico Events vids are awesome! The instructions on the DVD are very clear and detailed and the interviews are a plus too.

5 stars.

I recived it today. What can I say, its amazing. I was learning the basic moves in minutes. I love it Much much better than the Mike Garcia ones. The dvd is clear to understand the moves and speedy legs was very good at teaching top rock. Also the extras are great.

Thanks a lot for a great DVD

This blew me away when i first watched it. Me and my friend were in his basement learning move after move. after that we had a battle. I would recomend this over all the previous videos put out by bboy.org.

Im finding it harder to be a gentleman everyday. All the manners that ive been taught have slowly died away.

tight dvd tane - 02-12-2004, 09:08 PM

aight i'm so hype just got the dvd this morning.. watchin the basic moves disc.. i've seen the old one an must say this is leaps an bounds ahead of it, tight tutorials easy to learn an really goes in depth with the moves.. good interviews, that class thing is pretty nice, good tutorials on popping, an the bonus material with that popping dude.. real nice disc one get 5 stars from me, a must have for any begginer.

disc two.. aint updated from the old powermoves vid but you didn't have to really, mad tight tutorials again with in depth looks into each move, very good for anyone starting out with power moves.. loving the chico battles some real dope stuff going on there.. again nice interviews this disc also get a 5 star rating.

totally dope tane, i'm so glad i'm a mod else i probably wouldn't have gotten this dvd.. thanks again, and i recommend the dvd to anyone thinking about buying it, a must see for the tutorials and battle footage. anyway, watching this has gotten me all hype to do some breakin, i aint done it in a while.. but it's all comming back...

peace.

I've been watching pieces of the DVD all week and I'm seriously inspired to new heights. The tutorials are flawless and incredibly extensive. The battles and interviews are off the hook. I'm cleaning up my foundation and I'm sure with this amazing tool I'll be rocking power moves soon enough.

You and the other bboys did an amazing job Tane. Thank you so much.

first things first , i gotta hand it to you - all of those who worked on this dvd . it's just plain awesome . whether you're a beginner or intermediate , this dvd is for you . i think pro will also enjoy the dvd for the footage included in it .

the set consists of two dvds . one for the basic moves ( toprock , footwork , freezes , ect ... ) and the other the power moves ( although it also include some of the harder freezes ) .
going more in-depth , the first dvd ( basic moves ) include a section for the most basic moves and a couple of more advanced one . this section is well done , pretty through , and although i would like to see some more pointers on how to do some of the moves , i think that the clips do the work pretty good themself . then we have the interviews which are nicely done and interesting , and some extra clips which are basically some more basic moves tutorials .
but the real reason you'll want to watch the first dvd is the Zulu Gremlin masterclass . you get about a hour and half of actuall , top notch bboying class that also includes some popping and locking thrown in for a good measure . this feature is really amazing . zulu gremlin explains everything clearly and throughly . not only that he teach you everything you need to know for starters , but also give you parts of the history . i found myself jumping infront of the tv , bboying like mad along with the video , and even learnt 1 or 2 new things .

the second dvd is a little more problematic . it features tutorials for power moves and some more advenced freeze . it shows the moves clean and nice , but due to their difficulty , i would have liked to see a much more in depth explanation about the moves . it's nice that you can see and analyze the moves in slowmotion , but there's a lot more to it .
again , there are some more interviews in the dvd , and then there the raw bboying footage which includes tons of battle to watch . the battles are high level and are a pleasure to watch . it also gives to beginners examples on how to use the moves they are learning in creative ways . the only problem i have with it is that some of the footage is black and white . not so critical , but why not in color ?

ok , before i finish there are a little more things i'd like to point out .
the dvd also works on PAL dvds , so no worrys here my europien friends .
also , i would have liked to see subtitles . it doesn't matter so much , but for those who english is not their native langauge ( like me .. ) it would have made things a little easier .
last thing , i noticed that in some of the dvd , it's recorded on another kind of camera that lives a little blur after quick movements , not a whole lot of a problem , but it's kinda annoying , lol .

but anyway , i'm ranting for nothing . this dvd is awesome and you should go purchase it NOW !

4.5 stars out of 5
