Yeah when i saw the name of the DVD i was like why the hell. But when u put it that way it is understandable. People who wanna learn to bboy and enter our world will have no idea of what it is. But then again if they named it Bboy Step by Step then i think people would have been like "hmm what is bboy maybe i should check it out" i don't know it could have worked out but then again it'd be sorta sexist unless the title was Bboy/Bgirl Step by Step

I dont know anyone who, when they first started, knew it was called 'bboying'. Breakdance is the term coined by the media, so for anyone who wants to learn, its easier to spot.

Well, doesn't the 'b' in bboy mean 'break' anyways?
Besides, calling it bboying kind of leaves out bgirls. While I'm surrounded by breakers, I'd use the term bboying, but if I'm around anybody who doesn't really know, I'd just call it breakdancing. Besides, breakdance is a noun and a verb, and bboy is really just a noun. |

i think that they couldve used the word breakdance in the dvd so that ppl would know it but at least it should explain in the case that the real name is bboyin or breaking so that they would have an idea of what it is.

if the focus is just on the steps, then it's w/e you call it, "breakdance" is ok.

I have this dvd,, way before i ever knew about this site.. I started out callin it breakdance but after hangin out with fellow bboyz and practicing regularly i know most terms and am now a bboy. The title is a perfect way to attract attention to unknowing crowd.
