Wrists - 11-16-2007, 01:49 AM

I've been bboying for like 2-3ish months and im my wrist hurts like mad. I was wondering if anyone had any advice to make it go away?

if you keep bboyin with pain you wont get anywhere , if you practice with pain then you develop bad form. when i was doing one handed handglides my wrists got pretty sore i just took a break for bout 2 days thats all i needed. if it hurts chill for a bit

Lol easy to fix practice sumthing else that dont involve ur wrist, and ice it lol, and if u do practice with a injured wrist ull just make it worst and make more bad habits for bboying, so i would recommend ya let it heal , plus if it heals u can do more practicing

yeah i try to make it better but i play piano so my wrists are always used =( oh well!

yea what bboyadot said. relax them for few days then practice awhile later. let it heal up so you can practice MORE!

Do wrist stretches before you start Bboying. It keeps your wrists loose so that they don't become damaged while practicing.

its good that your wrists hurt. that means they are sore. sore means they are being conditioned. conditioned means, after you give your wrists recovery time, you will be able to do what you previously did with ease, step up your game, elevate yourself, get hurt again with soreness. conditioned. recover. get hurt again with soreness. conditioned. recover. REPEAT OVER AND OVER.

Get bengay, apply it on the wrist, stretch your wrist whenever your doign notthing, dont stop practicing. You wont get bad form, all that bad form talk is a bunch of bull unless you really start dancing like an idiot.

that works too bengay, but u should really let it wrists its natural that it hurts if u practice it, happen to me when i first start back than o.o, but ur wrist will get stronger and less fatigure and pain as u practice more and more

it's normal, when i do my freezes it hurts, relax a bit after and then work again, if it goes really bad use more time or what i sometimes i do is work on toprock while my wrist hurts
