Newb, need advice (video) - 01-31-2006, 12:10 PM

Hey guys,

I've been doing it for like 4 months. I'm part of a small group at school that I started. We don't really have a teacher (but we do have a hip hop mentor..). Here is a vid of my progress. I'm kind of the best one on the group, which is why I need help. I have to be good so that I can show the other members and etc. Let me know what you think? I kind of think my uprock is wacked (but it kinda looks old school?) and yes, I know I bust my ass. Any tips and criticisms are welcome!

Thanks!
Peace,
Wong-ton

hey guys nice nice, yall have started out great, i think its time yall learn a power move and an easy one to start out with is the WINDMILL. To start learning this move i would suggest that you know how to do the BABY FREEZE to build up some wrist stenght. It is a move that takes the average joe about 2 months to learn one rotation and about 3 months to do multiples.

here is the most basic way i can explain a windmill and here is a vid of me and my first progress of mills.Windmill.avi

baby freeze mill.avi this is the easiest way to start a mill. You start in a baby freeze position. You get in the position and my left hand pulls until i collapse then i push with my right hand as you collapse sweep your right leg low and hard, then put your right hand on the ground again and sweep your left leg back and up as hard as you can which gives you just enough momentum to get back to your front to do it again. This was the first way i leaned a windmill
and is a good way to build up wrist strength for mills from a handglide position.

here is a some good websites of how to do mills.
