Post Sup Guys. Help for a newbie. - 05-29-2005, 05:16 PM

Hey guys, I'm new here. No clue really where to start, I just know a couple things:

a) Basic toprock that was in that tutorial video

b) I need to get in shape for this. I'm around 6'4, 170 pounds. I don't have that much upper body strength to keep me up. I'm not fat or anything, (actually quite skinny) If anyone could suggest any workouts (with like actual numbers...)

c) I'd sorta need to ask what moves I'd need to learn. If anyone could give me an idea... it would help tons. [edit]: nvm, there's stickies for that.

I mighta placed this is the wrong forum, but I'm new... so gimme a break

Peace.

You don't need to work out .. it's dancing remember not heavyweight boxing

You'll get the body-weight training you need n the control you need as you practice n develop, you don't have to go out of your way to weight train .. if you feel like you have to train DON'T LIFT, that gets you all bulky n you're going to be less used to controlling your body weight. Use your body for training, IE dips, vsits, handstand pushups, stuff.

start with tops n basic footwork n then go from there

once you get handstands start doing handstand pushups! Those will give you all the strength you will need to hold yourself up! And handglides will fix up your stomach muscles!

I strenght train, but not for breakin...I have strength trained for almost 2 years now.... It helped me with my breakin...but its not necessary
