handstanding problems - 05-29-2005, 02:56 PM

ok well i cant do a handstand, maybe its my weight or fear witout me noticing of failing or something, but ok this is wat i been doing, first i stand like all straight, then i put my hands on the floor and lift my right leg and then i try to kick myu left leg up but i cant reach it. so i think im not like kicking hard enough, but i do it as hard as i can and i still cant do it! so give me some help please! PEACE!

as soon as you kick your leg up, make sure you LEAN FORWARD, that should help

i am having the same problem..i have been practising handstand with a wall. now i am able to handstand against the wall, so what should i do next so that i can do handstand without using the wall in future?




just wish i could get 1 powermove down... 1, just 1!!

leave the wall alone.try to do a handstand without the wall and try to get to feel when u do so.




what's my motherfuckin name? and who i'm rolling with...huh?(unknown)

once u have left the wall and tried doin handstands nowhere near one it is obviously a lot harder. anyway try to walk to whereveer u happen to be fallin, this helps sometimes wen ur fallin a lot to one side. if your not fallin much then u should dig ur palm/fingers into the ground, this helps a lot too

about the walking and leg positioning...

i get on my hands for about 1 second and they seem to just want to go right over my head...should i be trying to walk forward towards my legs or back away from them to keep the balance?

either way, i cant really walk on my hands. and i am scared of falling so i just bring my legs back down the way they came up. lol.
