Do I need the gym..? -

First of all, hi everyone, I'm new.
All I can do is toprock, pompo, and i'm tryin a 2,3, and 6 step. but i find that it's difficult to hold myself with one arm doing these. i have barbells at my house. do i need to go to the gym to get the right workout? or could i just do crunches, and lift the weights and stuff. if i can do all the stuff at home, can you tell me what i should do?
