why can't I planche? - 04-18-2005, 11:01 PM

I've tried going from keroppi and just straight up into a tucked planche but my arms just involuntarily bend and I manage the world's smoothest transistion from a tucked planche to a face plant in 0 seconds. Any tips on how to get the tucked planche a little quicker?

Much love,
Smo

if you can't hodl a tucked planche, it's a matter of strength. you are weak. keep practicing tucked planches til you develop the required triceps, lats, and shoulder muscles.

The way I learn't it is keroppi for ages e.g. 1 min without touching ground to get used to wrists being used. You work up to this.

Tucked planches after, I didn't really work on tucked that much cos I couldn't do it at the time so I left it for awhile without learning planches then I started couple of weeks after and could do them for some reason.

Hold tucked ones for a minute or as much tries as possible up to a minute, so 12 tries 5 seconds each.

If your not patient you won't get them, if you try too hard you won't get them (need muscles to rest), just take it easy and learn for fun.

pretty much yeah, lats are those that create a cup in your armpits.. Check bruce lee's, they stick out the sides and make it look like you've got webbed arms.
Work handstand pushups..

Tucked planches is where you squat and lift your legs up but your legs are inside the arms not out like the keroppi.

Hold the kerropi position for one minute. THen the tuck planche for one minute. Then the tuck planche with your back straight for one minute. Then start tuck planche push ups and then straddle planche.
