How to Ninjajump - 10-07-2003, 04:00 PM

it's erm : laying down on the ground...and then you jump up and you stand... or something like it... I tried so hard...but I can't do it.... grrrr

Anyone knows how you do that... : and does it has a specific name for it ???

it's called a kip up or kick up n u mite wanna check the kip up board fo a guide, i personally cant do it but alot o people here can

its more about getting ur hips up...u have to pretend like ur shooting a basketball...theres guides around here somewhere

someting that helps me do them is you have to put your hands behind your head and push off when you kick up.

its not that difficult actually, just takes time to get used to.

Step One: Lay Down on your back (obviously)

Two: lift up your lower back off the ground, so that all of the weight is on the upper part of your back

Three: Bring your legs back so that they are a foot or so away from your chest/face (depends on what your comfertable with)

Four: Kick more up than out, but not all the way up, make sure to do it hard enough to get some good heighth off of the ground.

Five: Once your legs get to full extension try to put them semi underneath you so you can stand.

a semi good way to practice is on a tramp, but thats for super basic movement. but even a better way is to try to use some wrestling mat because its softer than the ground. Or just go straight to grass or what not, but beware, it can hurt if not done right.

first, it's called a kick-up i think
now here are the steps
1)lay on your back and roll back on your shoulderblades and bring your knees a bit away from your face
2) fire your legs out and bring them under your body and don't forget to whip your upperbody and try to land on your feet

It's gonna take a while so practice and don't give up. You might first wanna try ta do it on a bed so you can get the feel of how to whip yourself

ps: i hope that's the move your thinking of
