i just looked up that song. hey if you can dance to it.. thats great. personally i think i would have a hard time dancing to this. try like Jurassic 5 or DJ format. here's a song you could look up: Honest Expression by Binary Star or Indy 500 by Binary Star. They all have little intros that you can't dance to.. and they are slower than you are used to if you've been listening to stuff like this techno but it might help develop your style more. but again everyone has different taste in dance music these are just suggestions.
yeah thats great if you can learn moves your own way. i learned some really basic stuff from youtube when i had no one to show me where to start. but yeah learning your own moves comes from practicing a lot. shoot thats difficult practicing by yourself.. but keep up with practicing.. and when you do get together with your friends you can show them what you have and get their opinions/suggestions for everything. |

uhh i like beggin by frankie valli...
I was 14 like a month ago! but to start off you should learn six step (then all the footworks), basic toprock (indian step, kick step, side step etc...), and freezes, well thats how im learning so far and its working. what you learn after that depends on what you want to do, if you want to focus on looking fancy with powermoves pursue those, if you want to try to make your own style and kill the beat, work on footwork and transitioning. also try to find a place where you can regularly session with other bboys...thats all i have for advice. *edit* and i think that learning from youtube is fine, its good to learn stuff yourself but you cant learn things if you dont understand them. |
