UPDATE! (2/6/08)

Reports had the album coming out in February with the first single coming out in January. But it looks like Nas will not be dropping the controversial, “Nigger”, album during Black History Month. Inside sources have told RealTalkNY the album will not be hitting stores this month. A single should however be released in the near future.
Nas last album, “Hip Hop Is Dead,” went gold and sold over 750,000 records.

In other words, if you're not gonna read that, the album was suppose to drop in February (Black History Month) and the 1st single in January.
-Now, its been pushed back.
-No word yet on the new date.

...In other news, Lupe Fiasco's- "The Cool" debuted at number 15, selling 144,000 copies it's first week. On the other hand, Soulja Boy is still going strong- with a total of 600,800 this week for his debut, "SouljaBoyTellEm.com".

i think the reason it got so popular was because it had a dance to go with it that was easy to do to a song that has passed for hip hop unfortunately... kinda like the cottoneye jo (however u spell it)-- it wouldn't have been played at dances and stuff (not most dances but middle school dances i hear it sometimes) unless it had a dance. i think that's why people like it because they can dance and think it's good lmao

which it's not but w/e, he got lucky in some ways but made tons of money -- i think he just has a good way of marketing his song.. even though i hate it
