Hey I think that USA stands a chance, but it needs to work harder because their crews have not had that kind of experience. If Korea, a country thats about a tenth of our size can beat us year after year, I think we can win once, besides breakdance was born in the USA so we should have a home advantage.

I think that 90% of US crews don't give a shit about BOTY/UK BBoy because most of them are bias against it.

Well what happens is that first they have tons and tons of crews sign up, and they have the qualify rounds and then the top 20 i think (depends on each country) do a show and battle between themselves. To get to the top twenty however a crew would have to battle round robin. Then the top few crews (again not exatcly 100% sure) go to international boty and show their stuff. I think thats everything.

Definitely feelin' you on that one. Ground FX had some good style going on, but I'd have to say...

Born's set: ALWAYS SICK!!!

All the power sets were definitely impressive on both sides, but Born's set is always so clean.

Country size and origin of the dance have no influence on the dance whatsoever, other than explaining population density and the history of the dance. In Korea, b-boying is a commercial industry. Some of the students there skip school so that they can practice 5+ hours a day, hence their rapid influence on the b-boying community. In the USA, b-boying isn't as commercial as it is in Korea because it had reached its peak before. Also, b-boying here was seen more as a gangster activity (a reason for its past decline) whereas b-boying in Korea is a profitable industry.

Unless the USA can overall surpass the Koreans in commitment (some US crews obviously do, Koreans just have more crews overall), the b-boy stereotype can be ridded. Otherwise, on average, seems like Koreans are still on top.

USA is just stuck up. They think that because they are good here they are good everywhere. By not representing, everyone thinks that they are whack. They need to spend like a hundred bucks and represent.

BOTY is a different, choreograph type event. American crews have a right not to do it if they don't want to. It's not even much of a battle, it's more of a showcase. American crews in general are better at battling than showcasing.

I wouldn't say that for a fact...... BOTY has a battle part to it. Battleing is actually the main event. Its just most eboys post the showcases on youtube first because they think its cooler. The first boty didn't even have a showcase part to it. I think that american crews could win the battleing part, and maybe even the showcase part. But they would have to work hard instead of being a couple of bums. I know it seems alittle harsh, but seriously, there are so many american crews, the only reason I can think of why they wouldn't wanna go to boty is lazyness or lack of money/time

bboycrest: I would agree with you if it not were for the fact that US heads are, as a whole, constantly more on the style/flav tip than just about any other country in the world. I'm personally sick and tired of newschool power and I really like it when heads DANCE instead of doing moves. Theoretically you could teach a gymnast all of the crazy power moves, would that merit winning a dance battle? Moves and their difficulty level can't be it alone. But that's just me.

Read the rules before you post, please.
