Today the B-Boys came in from the airport! Most of them after being stuck in traffic for hours of course. The B-Boys from Europe and Asia arrived in the morning. There wasn’t anything scheduled, so we went on a little bus tour into the city. We drove over the Nelson Mandela Bridge into Newtown, where we checked out the handicraft market and some graffiti pieces close to the African Museum.

We caused quite a stir because of all the cameras following the B-Boys, not only photographers, but a whole film crew. Yes, there is gonna be a film, more about that later. The guys really enjoyed hanging out, but then we had to go back to the hotel, where each of us received a cool Red Bull BC One bag with all the needed information and backstage passes inside.

Later in the evening the American and African B-Boys arrived. We all had dinner together and now, most people already went up to their room to get some rest after the exhausting journey.

Some of us also feel knackered due to the altitude. Johannesburg’s absolute altitude is 1753m above sea level and the body needs time to adjust to that. If you want to find out more about Jozi, check the battle page.

Tomorrow the guys will start to practice, there will be photo shoots and interviews and in the evening we’ll have dinner at a very special place. We’ll let you know all about it! So tune back in tomorrow!
