But yeah after what AK said about the trampoline only appearing to break because of the way ivan jumped on it (to the front) would make sense... i looked at the video again and it does look like it. Then again it might just appear that way because i was looking for that to happen if you get me :S

when i saw it live when it aired, i thought "damn, did he just screw up?"
but then they showed the tumble again after the commercial break and i was like "why was there a trampoline, and why would it fall forward?"
then after conducting numerous physics experiments, i concluded the trampoline was defective and planted there for Ivan to screw up. Initially i thought that Ivan might have screwed up on his own and he just did the whole pencil freeze thing to not look like an ass (like Ringer said), but I now can say that NBC set up the whole thing.
Ivan was good enough to make it to the next round tho, so unless the judges were like "there is no way in hell you're gonna go to the next round, do this for us", i don't see why he would agree unless he did get paid.

Perhaps it wasnt "there is no way your gona get to the round" but more like "Your dance isnt completely looked upon as an artform, your not gona win, but we will give you money for fuckin up"
