umm iunno if judges are bias, prejudice or discriminating even if the bgirl is better they'll say the bboy is better or if you look good you're in luck cuz usually most dudes i would say fall for pretty bgirls even something like that mite get me like some newb bboy then you see like a really hot bgirl battling him though the bgirl would own him anyways even if he smoked her the judge mite just fall for the girl and pick the girl as the winner iunno

I hope that's not true. I wouldn't want to be seen as a "better" breaker just because I'm a girl...or close enough to one...
...
So what if you're ugly? Do they see you as a man? o.O
Too stupid to post something meaningful and intelligent.
Take some advice from my E-twin:
Quann: "dont look in ur closet.... ever... again.... seriously. no bullshit. dont. bad things will happen"
...and just to embarass him...
Quann: I DO HAVE A PERIOD. A MAN PERIOD. I GET ALL ANGRY AND STUFF.

If bgirling is a competition of prettiness, then I'm screwed twice over

Girls aren't as strong as guys so they might a little more trouble with some power stuff but not too bad. They are naturally more flexible than guys, so they'll always make good abstract breakers.

Well I don't wanna start another "girls CAN do powermoves" thread which will lead to another discussion on bgirl jess...
But back to the initial topic, I don't really think bgirls have an "advantage" in battles. Imagine a guy doing ballet. You wouldn't say he was better than a ballerina girl just because he's a guy, right? (haha..imagine ballet battles...oh god...)
As for breakin' in general, saying whether girls have an advantage is like asking whether they do in any other sport.

? that comment about bias judges choosing bboys over bgirls? no, i think it is deff the other way around.
i've seen okay b-girls win in battles against much better bboys (or at least i thought they were better lol).
although, the MAIN thing i see is Noob bgirls being chosen over Average Bboys. which annoys me terribly.
and yeah bgirls arent as strong as bboys but i think they have better flexibility. so that leads to different types of sets.
overall i'd say bgirls have SOMEWHAT of an advantage because honestly, wehn you look at the top bgirls and the top bboys.... both are dope but i often find the bboys are better. However the advantage is that those bgirls who are not quite on the level as the top bboys are often viewed AS the same level. (Look at bgirl ace. i didn't watch too many videos of her, but i saw a battle. she had one really tight set but her other sets were sloppy compared to other Bboys at her level)
NO DISRESPECT by the way. Those top bgirls are DOPE and props for accomplishing what they have seeing as bgirls are a lot less common than bboys and have to overcome (in a lot of cases) much more difficult roadblocks in learning certain freezes, power, etc. i'm just sayin that i find bgirls at the top are not as good as bboys at the top, but at the same time are almost ranked the same.
Then again, bgirls also have to work harder for some things than bboys due to obvious physical differences. Also there are fewer bgirls to help out other bgirls with bgirl-specific problems...
so actually it depends on teh way you look at it. bgirls can have an advantage or dissadvantage from different points.
Actually, maybe the reason seemingly-lower-level bgirls are classified with the top bboys is because those bgirls had to work possibly harder than the bboys to achieve what they have achieved.
SO IN CONCLUSION. bringing together possible advantages and dissadvantages, i'd say bgirls dont really have an advantage nor a disadvantage.
sorry if i offended anyone with this post. i really dont mean to and madd respect to all the bgirls workin hard out there to be the best. these are just my thoughts. if i didn't make sense either, sorry. im just typin these things as they come to my head LOL.

Lol that was a nice post RTHYM. Must have taken some time...
Anyway, I never realised that bgirls of a lower level were picked over bboys o.O Personally, when I watch a video of a battle or whatever, I don't even notice the person's gender...just how they break xD Yeah. I might not even be a girl. I could be a boy and never checked.
Well I mean...just like how a handicapped bboy doesn't win a battle for being handicapped, a bgirl shouldn't win over a bboy for being a different gender. But I guess what should happen doesn't necessarily happen in real life ; /
Funny thing is, there aren't many bgirls I look up to, I idolize mainly bboys, lol.
And I have NO flexibility D=

bgirls have an advantage over bboys only in terms of getting props
but legit judges dont let the gender-bias influence them.
ie at a jam, a girl does a baby freeze to chair freeze, audience cheers like mad mainly b/c she's a girl
but even though she's probably getting more props, i usually see the bboy she's battling win
so gender bias only wins over the crowd but not the good judges
it's freakin hilarious to see bgirls' profile pages and all the guys trying to hit on them there
real cute yall, keep it up

bboys and bgirls are equal, bgirls are just more shy. That's psychological. In fact, I saw a lot of bgirls smoking bboys. (I got smoked by a bgirl in a pratice with my crew 2 years ago)
arghh... Just believe that you can do it...
