I don't know I can speak for myself and it's hard to find b-girls period, let alone to find a specific "brand" of b-girl, let's put it that way. I do have to agree that most uprising b-girls are asian, and of course European b-girls are typically white that I know of. (All my opinion.) I am not black at all, but ehhh *cough* looking at me people would assume that I am. Anyhow, I guess my point is that there is no true anything anymore. Anyone can learn how to photoshop and be like Imma graphic designer, anyone can pick up a skateboard and be like I skateboard. Anyone can say anything now a days, race has nothing to do with it. Are there black b-girls, are there black astronauts? Psh. I'm just saying.
And Spectrum = RACIST. Of the worse kind, psh. Asshole.
But to each their own opinion.

Well I envy you guys, ya'll complaining about not having any b-girls, black ones specifically, while there's some of us that don't know ANY other breakers! ha.
But from I know breaking started out being a black thing right? and now it's mostly Asians.

idk how i ended up in here .( this thread ) ANyway i say that black girls are not realy given an alternative to how they should act , look, dance . they get there image of a black weomen from tv and the streets. Just like black males without a father figure they look past that chalk outline on the ground which was his dad and they see the hustler, or the gangbanger , and thats what they become !
ahh shit i made a point again. dammit . ( ive taken the genius test and i am a genius . the only way i fit is is dumbing myself down )

I'm from miami and I didnt c breakin anywhere down there bcuz i was not exposed to bgirlin/bboyin..people didnt do that in my neighborhood. I think that many of these girls aren't exposed to breakin, just like you havent been exposed to non ghetto black girls.
I have also noticed that a lot of the female breakers have had previous gymnastics training( which is often expensive )and then they get in2 breakin. Most gyms are not housed in the hood so maybe that's part of the reason. It's suprising that you live in new york and havent seen many african american dancers. Have you ever heard of Dance theatre of harlem or Alvin Ailey( lemme guess probably not). O yea and I have met a lot of loud ghetto girls of the opposite race..so dont be fooled. Your skin is apart of your outter shell..we all look the same in the inside lol It's so sad that you are discriminating against your own race.

that's why i kept saying, the ones that live near me and the ones that i kno. i didnt mean in general. i love black girls, i was just saying that CERTAIN ones just are ignorant about dancing. like they find no point or reason for doing it and many, that i kno, believe that theirs no purpose to dancing except looking like a fool. i love black gurls, why wouldnt i, look at my skin tone lol. its just that some of them try to be all ghetto which are the ones that piss me off. but if u took it offensive then im sorry i didnt mean it the way i might have posted it. and since ur a black bgirl....props lol PE@CE

Bboy Spectrum: While I'm glad for your input into the conversation, I think what you said was extremely bordering editable for me. Yes, you made your point with your area and your experience, but going into "light skinned" vs "dark skinned" takes it a bit far.
______
Anything else iffy from anyone in this thread and I'm shutting it down... I think the point's been made: There are black bgirls.

omg. im talking about the girls that are here in NY. (not NYC for the previos post). I live in Rochester, NY and im saying that in my area of the city, these are how they are. im not saying all black gurls. I LOVE BLACK GURLS, BUT CERTAIN ONES, I CANT STAND. just to educate u for a bit. RACISM = PREJUDICE + POWER. I CANT BE RACIST. BUT I CAN BE RACIAL PREJUDICE. RACISM INVOLVES BEING PREJUDICE AND HAVING THE POWER TO KEEP A RACIAL GROUP OPPRESSED. i do not have the power to do so. so the correct term u should have used was racial prejudice. if u ever took a social justice class u would have learned that.

i do admit i went to far but my intention wasnt to degrade the african american female population. that would just be self destruction. my intention was to explain the lack of attendance of black bgirls but i focused on my area on the city. NOT IN GENERAL. i completely wasnt expecting that feedback from the other members and i do apologize if any of them were offended. it just pisses me off when people take my words they way i did not meant for them to be understood. i do agree that when i meantioned the whole light vs dark thing, i was COMPLETELY out of hand. but i apologize.
