How long did it take for any of you to get your six step down?

I'm just curious because I just started learning

Usually getting it down INITIALLY doesn't take too long... but getting it down so it's w/ ease, comfortable, with correct form, etc... can take a GOOD WHILE... and sometimes if you don't consciously address it here and there, it'll fall out of form and get sloppy.

Congrats on starting to learn--- don't get discouraged, it's a process.

Cheers.

3rd to 4th is one of the harder transitions... think of it as a sweep... bring your leg out and around and wrap it :]

Yea lol, I thought at had it down after like a week..but in reality it was extremly sloppy!! Keep at it though, once you learn a solid 6 step..you'll never wanna stop! =P rock on.

Im sure someone will give you better advice..but, were I went wrong was I was going for speed befor I had the form down. everything from, staying on ur fingers, shifting ur weight, keeping on ur toes, and keeping ur butt low and on ur heels is key aye. Thats so tight that you gotta bboy club, I really can't wait till college to see if we got one! Anywayz im super slow learner, but I figured I'd throw out what everyone is drilling into my head right. Keep at it. =D =D =D =D =D =D =D

Learn to do the form right before you worry about speed, in fact don't worry about speed at all if you can help it... so long as you can go fast enough to follow the music the way you want too thats all you need.

Sorry to be so vague, I'd give you more advice but honestly lately I've been questioning myself enough that I don't feel qualified to be giving more than basic advice.

I'm just another up-and-comer paying dues.
I think I'm possibly the slowest learner on all of bboy.org haha.

Your wanna the few people that actually think through there advice, make it make sence, and know what they're talking about. My opinion isn't big, but..you definatly to me are qualifyed to give out advice, you understand most of the stuff that beginners need answers on. keep rock'n.
