I get in atleast an hour a day, Kinda hard since i have crosscountry practice 6 days a week. But, then on weekends 3 or 4 hours...probably an hour spend just reading and watching bboy clips. =P

Why would girls practice any different than boys? Do you intend to become a girl and are worried it will harm your sessioning? :P
I'm just another up-and-comer paying dues.
I think I'm possibly the slowest learner on all of bboy.org haha.

It's all true. We're Mexicans we do that.
Although I practice like 3-6hrs a day 6-7 days a week since I got addicted to practice... I'm pretty sure that's a bad thing... especially since my body is so pissed off all the time and my gains compared to time invested are utterly mediocre (at least in my mind..) lol.

Why would someone think that we practice different from guys? Lolz!...So random....
But we practice the same....lolz.... I used to practice with ALL boys [[when i was home]]...so yeah.
And when I practice now, it's a an 45mins to an hr... or sometimes i just go, and go and go. Lolz.

More likely that there are just less bgirls period.
Assume that for every one bboy on this site who practices as much as I do (6-7x/week 3-6hrs/day) there are 50 who barely practice at all (1hr 3days a week or less).
If we apply those statistics to the girls we realize that there is like 1 girl/50 guys (manufactured number for making my point)... so instead of the odds being 1/50 of finding an intense practicing girl out of all the membes of the site the odds become 1/2500.
Drastic change when you play with statistics. There just aren't enough bgirls period it has nothing to do with how they practice. The super dedicated are super dedicated, those who have different priorities have different priorities, boy or girl, young or old, big or small, short or tall doesn't matter. Period.

Good Point MaDd
Might I also add that girls tend to make sure that other priorities are taking care of. I'll use myself as an example. When I first started, I was so dedicated, was dedicated throughtout my Jr & my senior year, but once it got closer to coming to college and between working, my gf, and other things, family, friends, tihngs like that... I kinda of pushed it the back burner. [[When I do this though I pick up my pencil/markers and take up writing again]]. How can I consider myself a bgirl then? Because I break when I can, I dance when I can, I practice when I can, but since Ive been at school I havent practiced once, is it because I push it to the back burner? In a way yes, but Momz isnt paying Daemen $30,000 for me to skip out on work and dance at the Y you know?... So I think it's important to through that in there too. We dont love it any less or more than you guys, and we dont think of it as "just dance" its a passion, speaking personally, but education always comes first.... You know what Im trying to say?

haha apparently i'm off there, but that's maybe what happens when you've been in school FOREVER and still have forever to go... then again i'm pretty ADD about some stuff, esp. school-related.
but as mentioned in the other thread: I work fulltime in a design studio in a marketing company... started picking up more freelance work again, since I live alone and recently moved, which increased my bills a bit. I take parttime school in the evenings, during lunch breaks, etc... but my dancing schedule usually goes somethin like the following:
currently, but soon to chance now that certain things have changed:
M/W: stretch for 1/2 hr - 45 min, followed by an hour of practice
W/Th/Sat: go out dancing for about 2-3 hrs (miss a few of the nights occassionally, with a few others in place sometimes)... learn the music/play with the music/work on tops/work on breaking overall
and then practice at home and in between and wherever... this varies.
now that a certain school in my area is back in session, my guess is that we'll resume our T/TH sessioning which would be about 2-3 hrs. Then still having W/Th/Sat out dancing, and possibly still practicing alone on my M/W or at least occassionally.
When I practice, I try to do drills and drill my footwork, work on top steps, and then moves like my kicks, freezes, power. Then also just breaking as in running sets...practicing combinations or transitions, etc.
Cheerz.
