Bgirlz dressing like girls - 01-24-2005, 12:04 PM

ok what i noticed from clips is (when i actually c bgirls) that bgirls kind of.... tomboyish... and i kno u gatta have room to move... but u can b feminent and comfortable @ the same time... but then i find if i dress to girly it brings unwanted attention... and it gets hard to further my abilities in breaking when guys r only breaking w/ me to c if they can c clevage... r there any bgirls out there that wanna look like a girl but have this problem? and also bgirls that feel they need to dress like bboys to get the respect or feel equal, my question is..y?... plz no hate in this thread... jus friendly conversation! thnxs

Hey,

I have always dressed really tomboyish (if thats a word) and as i got older the clothes got baggier i guess... i aint been B girl very long so i can't speak for the dancing side, but i have the opposite, because i dress so much like a boy people treat me a lot like a boy, but i think i like it that way because i don't want em to treat me different cos i'm a girl. But, i think if you wanna dress like a girl and be a b girl you should be free too without having to worry about boys waiting for an escaping boob for want of a better phrase... If they are it'll be their loss when they fall and hurt themselves anyway!

I don't even know if what i wrote has anything to do with anything but earlier i was thinking about that topic that other girl started where she was saying she wanted to dress like a b boy... and i think they were my thoughts.

yo EnTrAnCiNg,

as a bboy myself, i cant actually answer this question from a bgirls perspective,
(obviously) however, i can offer my 2 cents.......

1st, dress how you want, its your life. your your own boss.

2nd, perhaps the only way you will be able to sort out this dodgy bboys problem, is to dance in some real funky gears, bust out the full red adidas tracksuit or something fresh like dat, then, when your chillin, thats your chance to dress all....er, girly......

i dunno.....

also, if you dont want guys to jam with you only cause they might get the chance to see some skin, ditch those funky wannabe players, and find sum real bboys to jam with. the cool ones.

peace, dont stop rockin

heyy! ooh it's been longgg since i've been to bgirl forum..

anyway! oh yes you can dress girly even when b-girlin. it's all up to yourself. i dont know cos fo me, i usu wear baggy pantts and tee but i've a friend who dresses really girly but not showin that mucha skin. usu she'll just wear loose pants, sometimes even tight jeans, as long as she can move about in it i guess. and she always ALWAYS bears her midriff. i guess if you wear a sports bra people cant really see much of your cleavage. basically you gotta b comfortable w yourself for others to be comfortable with you. and the most important thing is, you're breakin not shoppin or anythin so it's more important that you can move bout properly rather than whether you look damn good.

PS good tip for dressin girly with big clothes. accessorise, accessorise and acccessorise! play with your jewellery, hairstyle, wristbands.. whatever. they make you more girly i guess.. ok that was pretty outta point but just some suggestions. peace~ =)

it's all about the dress how you feel. it's not about the look and how people treat you by it.. i mean, there's so many so called "bgirl wankstas" out there because they look the part, but don't let looks decieve you girl... just wear what ya want. Shoot, sometimes I'll be at parties in a skirt and still bust out a 6-step cuz I feel the beat... and then I get even more props because who'd ever thought a girl in a skirt could bust? haha

just my cents.
take care<3

dressin how i feel that makes wanna b comfortable with the way i dance, it' s all about me and my feelings. Besides, even tho i may attract attention, i kno that them players are just sum fools. If u got skills, it wont even matter how u dress.
