I've learned a new move. It's swimming (that's because I couldn't swim before this). Now I have both skills: 'swim' and 'sink'.
Btw, I'm still attempting the jackhammer thingy. Still stuck around 2-3 hops. I've been making alot of noise hammering the floor with one hand, though... am I suppose to make such noises when doing it?

I'm workin on speeding up turtles and workin on windmills... Still trying to keep my legs straight. Also a jumping handstand Mmm not sure what their called.
That's called "freestylin'" if I've not mistaken. Back to the jackhammer thingy... I dunno why I'm making plenty of noise. I just hope I don't hammer the marble floor for good!
Btw, since when did I get a user rating? 3 out of 5 stars? What's the rating based on? Bombastic words? Avatar? Personality? Breaking skills? Or more? Well, 3 stars are better than nothing, though. Hahaha...
hmm... jackhammers with loud sounds are quite common at first, as u're still unable to control your hopping properly, so u'll be sorta like pumping the floor.. Master your crickets first to an extent where you can do it speedily, smoothly, and lightly, almost perfect, then link to jackhammers from there... However, avoid linking if you're still using alot of your pushing hand instead of just the stabbed hand, you'll feel that you're doing crickets good when u are using mainly the fingers when pushing instead of the palm and u'll also feel the momentum.. When linking, the falls at first may be very, so be very careful not to injure yourself.. Use the momentum to get you hopping and spinning, it'd be alot easier than just trying to go into jackhammers directly.. Lastly, the most important thing is to practise... Peace.
You know how sometimes (especially with b-girls) you can tell what they did before they fell into breakin'? Like there are those girls how have an endless up-rock so you know they were dancers first. Well I am one of those "She must have done gymnastics" type girls. I never did gymnastics...but my best moves are all flexiblity and balance move because of 7 years of intensive yoga. My best best and favorite move is something I kinda made up myself by manipulating Vrischikasana (Scorpion Pose) which is the pose where your forearms are on the ground, your head is up and facing forward and you kick up your legs so that the bottoms of you feet almost touch your head. So I will usually go into that from something simple like a little baby freeze.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to go from there...I am really trying to learn how to pop-up from that into a handstand, then end it with a hollow-back but I can't nail the pop up, I keep hurting myself...any advice on pop-ups from that kinda postition???
yeah, i do yoga too... and there are a lot of things i used to put in to my breaking from yoga
then i realized something - it's ALL about the transition, so now instead of trying to set up one of the asanas i'll usually just hit a little freeze and get back in to dancing my footwork
scorpion is actually really common- a lot of bboys and girls will do a variation of it on one forearm instead of two.
I try to land that and go directly in to footwork, either by catching myself in a half bridge chair freeze and doing a little shoulder footwork or by flipping back down and dropping in to switches or something like that
as for popups... KICK WITH YOUR LEGS !!!
good luck
keep dancing
you must have been a bgirl.... because the only moves that you pulled on me were heartbreakers
right now I can't really say...I do like elbow freeze(can't balance on both, just one)...but before my break I was working on popups(if I can call it that)... like going from forearm to elbow...or double forearm, single forearm and then elbow...I was trying to work on doing double forearm to handstand...but I either couldn't make it off the ground...or I would make it half way up and then back on forearm
can rotate turtles...but just want to get more rotations...and fast
can you don handstand push ups...once I get more arm strength...my ex wants me to practice that and once I can...he said I should have more control over supporting my body weight...I was also thinking that if I can do handstand push ups...would that help with popups...like anything from the ground to handstand or single armed handstand
before somone showed me how to push up into a one handed handstand awile ago and I could(but I think because I already had momentum going)...but when I try to go like from double forearm to handstand....can't push body up...I tried kicking my legs hard but saw that didn't work...can drop on forearms..just can't push up
