Bgirls n Power - 11-09-2003, 12:40 PM

sup everyone, my curiousity has inspired me to ask this question, what moves do some of you bgirls on this forum have and which of you do you guys think is the best female power head or has the most moves/combo's, i noticed although some bgirls are holdin it down power wise most don't really have that much, and i'm just curious to know whether thats by choice or maybe its a physical thing. PLEASE don't think i'm being sexist in anyway, i'm just curious.

thanks for your time, and props to all bboys and bgirls out there

loki and asia are good for power i think
in the bay area , darkstar, rose and jana take it for top bgirl power

you must have been a bgirl.... because the only moves that you pulled on me were heartbreakers

Honestly, I think its all about perseverence. If you put in the time and effort and practice your heart out, bgirl or bboy, you'll get the power moves down to your potential. I personally haven't had as much time to practice as much I would like to, it's been an on and off hobby for me, but I have so much respect for the dance community and I love hip hop so it's become a part of me.

I'm gonna keep pressing on with it when time permits, but I'll always come back to it because dancing is my ultimate passion.

Bgirls that have inspired me with some dope power: Trinity is an incredibly talented and beautiful bgirl, and Asia One's crew definitely has my utmost respect .

One life one tribe one love one blood
Too much has been shed its time to rise above
You don’t have to understand it and you dont have to like it
But were much more powerful when we're UNITED
Ignorance fight it Knowledge embrace it
Have sympathy for people who too scared to change shit
Dont talk it just live it
Enjoy life absorb every minute
Quit placing the blame
Put your mind towards change
Hold the torch, light the flame, make a difference
One love one nation lets get uplifted

power - 11-11-2003, 02:20 PM

doesn't really mean that much...the trend now is towards stalls anyhow, i don't see the need as of yet to use power.....i almost have 1990's....i can do them on my elbow too...that's enough for me!

power means more then most people take it, because its an element of our dance...ignoring part of the dance makes u less of an all around bboy or bgirl...

but like aura said, trinity is holdin it down, ill give it up to her

Dont bite the hand that feeds u, eventually everyone helping u will get annoyed...jesus.

Beginners giving beginners tips without understanding what they are saying is probally one of the worst ways to spread KNOWLEDGE.....which is the key to anything in life.

Loki from Mo D
Beebish from France
Julia from Germany
ABgirl from Problems Cru
all have some good power. But I think Loki and Beebish take the cake.

last battle i went to here in the Bronx ( Pro-AM, NY) was fucking HOT there was the ENTIRE battle, full of all guys...and then there was this ONE all female group called "Eye Candy" LOL OMG they beat 2 other fuckin crews and made it to the semi's before getting beatin by the crew who ultimately won the whole battle, there was this ONE chick...she was so petite, i stood next to her she is only like 5'3, and about 90lbs...EVERYBODY was surprised to see her bustin out fuckin CLEAN munch mills and then CLEAN flares and then fuckin CLEAN halos....that gave me the realization that the power is only within the practice and state of mind you put yourself into, anything is possible lol
