hey there's some advantages for startin late... well it increase your upper and lower body strenght... i'm 14 so its just developin... for beginners...i once heard that the basics requirements if your startin were 20 push-ups a day, 100sit-ups (not consecutive tho), you gotta be able to balance on your head, and increase those requirements as you go along. those should be no prob. for you since your 19.

not quite.....in fact it will be breaking that will build up the strength for u. u don't need to do pushups or situps or whatever....just break. believe me i know.....22 when i started is even less of an advantage.

i started breaking just before i turned 26

there are no requirements to start .. you build the strength up by dancing , like D said

just start
if not , you'll look back 5 years from now , be 5 years older, and wish you HAD

you must have been a bgirl.... because the only moves that you pulled on me were heartbreakers

you mean i freakin did all that for nothin?!
oh well 'least i build up the strenght quicker... ryte now i only could do like 25 push-ups a day, but since you said it doesn't matter.... i should start concetratin on some windmills now...

Well, doin' those exercises didn't hurt, that's for damn sure.....Cuz when you wind up getting those massive muslces, they not only make your freezes look sicker (The muscles themselves), but they also allow you a lot more variety.....like for example, I can curl 65 lbs (on a good day) with my right.....which's my freeze arm. Because of this, I can slightly lower myself.....like, instead of being 90 degrees with the ground, I can now go about 70-80 degrees, compensating for the angle by bending my elbow.....people say that looks damn better.....ok, so better go back on topic, and get away from the whole "Im so good" thing.....there are no useless muscles....only unused muscles.

But yes.....fundamental muscles come from gravity (By actually trying the moves)......anything extra is simply that: extra.

Peace.

have u started by now?

I know someone who started at 19. Now he's a coach in some breakdancing studio, and often invited to performances by the TV station etc. He started out by readin guides, learning himself. In actual, he really started when he was 21/22 yrs old. Bec that's when he became serious with it.
