I am just getting an idea of the girlies that live in my area. IT would be cool to go to events, clubs, hang out...etc. I live in Whittier...so I usually hang out in LA. I sometimes venture out past the "Orange Curtain" hehehehe.
i live in LA, school in irvine. i go to la on weekends sometimes.
o yah, if ur down to drive to irvine, we have practices every friday from 4-9. something like that. my aim is lesliiexp. ask me about it if you wanna go. a bunch of us from bboy.org go, and theres a lot of really good bboys there. thus far, i am the only girls, so itd be nice to have another girl practicing w/ me. =)
well, a few of us actually started the practice.. it was me, instigator, chinkzilla, kidflare and i think stoic, who never made it. but we went on a monday night to the youth center in a park and found a bunch of other bboys, L10, dunno if youve heard of him but hes hella good, and some of his friends. we pretty much all keep in touch now, and we practice whenever we have time. i started going to church with chinkzilla, and im on the dance team there, learning locking and just choreographed stuff. its fun. haha. rite now im working on...swipes. i really cant get them. im re-learning head hollows kuz i found out i was doing them wrong. im trying new things with footwork and testing out some toprocking. im learning uprock slowly, i dont wanna mess up my knee from doing those squats. but i think ive progressed from the last time ive seen you. being around lots of dancers is DEFINATELY a plus tho. i never thought itd make so much of a difference, but lo and behold it does.
I wish i could venture down and practice with you guys. I really am a newbie to this.....i only know a little foot work and that's about it. I always work nights on fridays......so i can't make it. Maybe some time we could meet up and you can show me what you know. The couple of peeps that I dance with at some clubs mostly do toprock. I haven't seen someone just break it down in a long time! Let me know if you organize anything else!
if ur down to drive to long beach, theres a place called homeland, on mondays theres a pop shop, on tuesdays its bboys. i went last night, learned a bit of popping. everyone there is SUPER friendly, theyll teach you anything if you just ask. everyone was willing to help, and theyre always teaching people anyways, so you can just wander into the group and follow along. im really new at breaking too.. i can do a six step and a couple pretty dumb freezes. im learning uprock and a bit of footwork, but i just dont have that much time to practice w/ school and everything. ill talk to u on aim. oh, try going to the hook up forum. theres a thread for people in OC, and one for cali.
