let everyone do what they want . they wanna dress hip - hop , let em dress that way . you can't blame em for being idiots , it's just the way they were born . all those people are the same , like sheeps , doing what the media tell em . jumping from one trend to another , like little kids who switch toys all the time . they are little kids . shallow people . more image then substance .
i don't dress hip - hop , i don't look hip - hop , but i'm all hip - hop .
and that's the idea . i don't need to show , i just talk and do instead .
and if nothing else works , gimme a call . i have some connections in canada . a few phone calls and those people annoying you will be ... taken care of ...

tiny one reason i am into hip hop cuz while those cats think they kno somethin and rmain igonorant, b-kats just rep their shit and keep it real. and when it comes down to it, i usally make bets wid ppl about me bein right over it then that is when they start denyin shit. some ppl r so ignorant, and they dont think above that to realize they r that way. some ppl just DONT TRY TO LISTEN. oh man, i mean oh woman

Yeah, but ignorance is just the beginning of pure wisdom.
Admit it, before you even knew what breaking was really about, you were into it, liked seeing it, and definitely wished you were into it. We all were.
So, you COULD take initiative and let them know what's up; or you could let it bug you that easily. Your choice.
And then there's the people who don't even care to want to learn, but like to act like they already know the deal. And I think that's more what you are getting at, right?
Once upon a time in Minneapolis,
Yo,
I damn near had to steal the show...

doesn't matter ... you didn't invent the style anyhow , someone else was doing it before you , and that goes for punk or hip hop or goth or grunge or whatever ... it was all being done before you got in to it
and i'm with fstylz on this
you can't hate on them just because it annoys you that they make you less unique , but you can try to share what you DO know , and that's about all you can do . Everyone has their own lives and their own prioities and we all pose at some things until we get the hang of it . You've got to let them their space and spend that precious mental energy on you OWN shit ,not worrying about theirs .
Good luck , it'll get easier in time .
I like my generation . we're all hitting our 30's and my friends in SF are still so damn crazy . Lookin at you guys , in your early 20's , and not seeing much difference apart from that we care a lot less and some of us own houses and cars now . The rest , stays the same .
oh , yeah, my point being , a lot of us stopped worrying about looking cool sometime between 22 and 28 , about when you realize there is only so much you can do to keep your ass from sagging , and that that's going to matter more than any pants you're wearing .
you must have been a bgirl.... because the only moves that you pulled on me were heartbreakers

I am with you on that Electron. I used to get mad about that stuff too. But there isn't anything you can do about it and getting upset is pointless. So many people are like that in South Florida it is crazy. Yeah the whole sagging ass is definitley feared. You see these women who are like in their 40's going out and dressing like they are in their 20's and I always think damn props for trying to still pull it off but at the same time. I see it as though it would be kind of embarrassing. I mean Aging is all a part of life and it is a beautiful thing when a person can age and be happy with themselves at that point in their life without thinking they need to go get plastic surgery to make themselves look like they did before. Okay I am totally off subject here. Sorry. I was thinking out loud. But yeah it sucks when you try to be original and someone else sees your new style or new idea and wants to cop it. But think of it more of as a compliment than an insult. Obviously they envy you in some way and think it is dope so just keep wearing what makes you feel good and don't worry about it. The fad will fade eventually just like every fad does. However it is kind of scary how many 80's things are coming back lately. That bright plastic jewelry is kind of scary and the whole hot pink bright green colors...I am not so sure about.
