Hey guys or should I say gals.... - 09-10-2003, 02:39 PM

I told all of you that I would let you know when Kleenhouse's new site was up for clothes. Well it is up now. I know Ray Ray was asking. or at least I think it was her.

Anyway...www.Kleenhouse.com oh and that's me in the middle where it says women's clothing. ha ha

there are some pics of Feenix and me too in the events miami pro-am section....hope you guys like the gear. Some pretty tight t-shirts and a really cute black and white halter (would be hard to rock when breaking though). Anyway. I am done. Thanks.

yeah , they had a booth at qweenB
i checked out the stuff - it wasn't bad , but the color selection was really limited and there wasn't so much that distinguished their designs from any other random sports company . What is it that you like so much about them specifically ?

also , were you at qweenB - rayray and i were looking for you and couldn't find anyone who looked like you . We were pretty sure that you would be there , but had no luck . What happened ?

you must have been a bgirl.... because the only moves that you pulled on me were heartbreakers

but family calls...my daughter was really sick for the past week. I haven't been able to do much of anything except stay at home with her. I haven't worked in three days. How was it ?? Dope I heard. Kleenhouse was there actually I think. They sponsor me the website doesn't do them half the justice. Did you see the necklaces? That was the big thing at the Pro-Am Miami. The pictures do them zero justice. Cartoon and TKT do all the big events they usually do the trophies too.

sorry to hear that your daugher's sick... i hope she gets better soon
it was good - from what i got by talking to people who'd been there last year , last year was better though - the battles were tighter and there were a lot more people
I'm still confused about the fact that there were male judges - it's not like i'm some nazi feminist but you'd think that if it's for the girls , by the girls , they'd have managed to find 3 girls qualified to judge that were willing to not throw down for the sake of keeping this a female event . But perhaps i dream....

Re Kleenhouse - i had a couple bones with their stuff , for one , the tshirts wern't long enough to cover me completely , and i couldn't find a design that i really liked as far as their prints went . Honestly i didn't look at thejewelry enough , perhaps i should have . The only jewelry i ever wear is a wedding ring , the rest all gets in my way when i dance .

There was another design booth there tho , fatpounds inc , and i bought a tanktop from them - even their smalls were cut long and the neck and shoulder holes are nicely done - they don't expose anything but a good portion of shoulder . the fabric is durable and their logo is down the side in bright orange . It was butch enough that i knew i'd wear it a lot ... Clothing has to be particularily good and decently priced if i'm gonna buy it , just because i usually can make it to my specs without too much effort .
I DID like the fabric on the fleece hoodies that Kleenhouse used - it was thick and quite soft , but there was no dark blue , grey or black , and i'm not a baby blue kinda girl myself .
THeir zipups all seemed pretty short , the longer ones didn't have zippers - another reason i didn't buy from them , and the pants were such a simple box that i knew i could make them in a matter of minutes .

They should do well though , they could stand finding more original prints i think , but their stuff was decent . I'll check out their site because maybe i didn't do them justice anyhow .

Yeah ray ray - 09-11-2003, 10:08 AM

those are belts. . . That is weird...because maybe the clothes they sent me are different than what they had ...I have a white and black sweat suit and the top is pretty long on me and the tshirt that goes with it is too. Everyone has different body types though. I see what you mean. Yeah I have a few of the headspin hats and I LOVE them. They aren't a regular beenie they are flat on the top and they have that little brim thing going on.

I am so mad that I didn't get to go. But there is always next year. That's cool that you guys had a good time. I can't believe that they didn't have female judges are you serious???!!!!

Yeah , i'm a tall girl so i've got the chilly belly problem more than , say , 60% of the bgirl population i guess , i don't think that rayray would have had the same issue with fit as i did . And no matter what , it's cool they sponsor you

no joke . 3 male judges
asia one danced
i've been talking to a few people about it , the only answer that seems to come up was that all the bgirls wanted to compete . I'm not buying it ... and everyone i talked to also feels that that was wrong . You'd think that they'd be able to find 3 qualified females to judge , if they asked - that at least 3 girls wouldn't have a problem with not competing in order for the event to truly be for the girls , by the girls . And i don't want to believe that that isn't true .

haha i'm sure those shirts would fit me fine, i'm 5'2" =/ and yes, electron IS quite tall!!! much taller than i imagined anyways. haha.

the 3 male judges thing sort of bothered me too. not only were there 3 male judges, the speaker was male too, it was just really...male dominated. it'd make me feel a bit better if a famous bgirl we all admire came out in the beginning to at least say a couple things if she wasn't gonna judge.

it was going to go down like that. I am sure Asia would have judged or Loki. Wow. . they probably could have gotten Beta to judge. THere are a lot of girls that would have I am sure. Wow....we should email Chyna to make a request for next year.

yeah
although it was great to see them dance , it'd have been way better for it to have been a truly female event .

If you can mail someone about it that would be awesome . I know i'm not the only person who feels this way - the girls from SF expressed similar opinions , so did a couple of the bboys who i talked to , i think it's a commonly shared thing ... let's try to make sure it doesn't happen again .

I really wished that I was there to see what the girls can do, and y'all are right should've been female judges. Who won it anyway and how long did it last?

it was barely legal that won. the 2 final crews were barely legal and naturally dysfunctional. the event went from about 2-10pm. battles didnt start until maybe...6? theyd do something for like an hour, then have a break for another hour or so. so altogether, the actual battles were only about 2.5 hours expanded into 8 hours. but it was still fun. people who werent competing went out in circles and we got to watch a lot of fun stuff. i sort of wished there were more bgirls, or maybe an individual contest, i'm really not a big crew battle fan.

Yea! Well I would love to watch a battle but I don't think that I would have the guts to be in it. I have alot more practice to do before I think about that. Actually Where i'm from there's not much b-girls! And going to QueenB would have been a plus. In fact I never have been to a competition at all. But one day I would love to go to europe or somewhere out of the United States. But that won't be in a couple of years so that's far from my mind.
