Hey all - I can't call myself a bgirl yet but I'm a locker and bellydancer who wants to get into breaking.

I love the way it looks, I love the style and the flamboyance and the sheer exuberance of it. I'd kind of written off the idea of getting into bgirling because I have wussy arms and I'm a 28 year old mother to two kids* but then I read the Bgirling Guide on the forum here and it's like, "No! I can still do this! Down with defeatist thinking!"

So I'm going to spend a few months improving my locking skills and doing lots of pushups and then start working on my bgirl moves. <3 I'm thrilled to be here - all y'all are an inspiration for me.
* One of my kids is my 5 month old baby who goes with me to my locking classes, LOL. I wear him in a sling while I practice, or he'll sit in the stroller and watch when I'm doing moves that require more balance. But that's the reason why I won't be starting breaking for another few months; I want the baby to be old enough that I can leave him at home while I go to classes. Although I'm hoping that maybe being exposed to this kind of dancing while they're young (my older child is 4 years old) will encourage them to get into it too! I'd be proud to raise a couple bboys.

Well, I'd be proud to raise any kind of dancer, but I'd rather attend bboy competitions than ballet recitals.
