welcome, and that's awesome you've been dancing so long. Look forward to getting your contribution to the discussions here and maybe having you give some advice to the newer girls :]

How's it goin.. I'm 24 and I'm into writing (HELLYEAHH!!), wouldn't call myself a bgirl but I recently became inspired by my boyfriend, whose been bboying for a couple years now, and I decided to stop being a spectator and finally get down!! I been sessioning for over a month or so and I'm still stuck on a couple basic moves... it's been frustrating as f*** but fun at the same time! Anyway, the beginner forum has been helpful! Glad to be apart of the culture and meeting yall! peace!

Hey all - I can't call myself a bgirl yet but I'm a locker and bellydancer who wants to get into breaking. I love the way it looks, I love the style and the flamboyance and the sheer exuberance of it. I'd kind of written off the idea of getting into bgirling because I have wussy arms and I'm a 28 year old mother to two kids* but then I read the Bgirling Guide on the forum here and it's like, "No! I can still do this! Down with defeatist thinking!" So I'm going to spend a few months improving my locking skills and doing lots of pushups and then start working on my bgirl moves. <3 I'm thrilled to be here - all y'all are an inspiration for me.

* One of my kids is my 5 month old baby who goes with me to my locking classes, LOL. I wear him in a sling while I practice, or he'll sit in the stroller and watch when I'm doing moves that require more balance. But that's the reason why I won't be starting breaking for another few months; I want the baby to be old enough that I can leave him at home while I go to classes. Although I'm hoping that maybe being exposed to this kind of dancing while they're young (my older child is 4 years old) will encourage them to get into it too! I'd be proud to raise a couple bboys. Well, I'd be proud to raise any kind of dancer, but I'd rather attend bboy competitions than ballet recitals.
