hmmm ya gotta have more flo. it seems like ya juz ramblin lines rather than in rhythmical possession.
I used to have that problem. Thinking that for a sentence I had to fit it in a whole bar...don't do it if it sounds bad. hmmm I know many of yall don' like Eminem an stuff, but the one song that shows an example of nice flow (besides lose yaself) is in When I"m gone. Listen to it...he spreads out the sentences for better flow, rather than packing them into one bar, ya kno what I mean? comes w/ practice though...just get lost in the beat, the same amount you get lost in the lyrical value. |

Your delivery is non-existent. It sounds like you're reading your lines off a cue card.
Try writing some really simple lyrics and delivering them to a really slow, simple beat--but make sure that you put some emotion into it. Once you get to the point where you can tell the difference between sounding like you're reading your lyrics and having a good delivery, start upping the complexity of the lyrics and the beats. |
