Hey, I know that I'm posting this on the wrong thread but, we're all in the Philly so my question might concern any of you a little.... Is there any underground popping scene in the Phil!? If so, let me know pleeasse!!! I looked almost everywhere, tried going up in Greenhills, Some malls, Some studios, and etc etc etc....

Yeah there is. I've seen more poppers here than breakers. But we kinda just see them at b-boy events too. I think it's the same as in other countries. I'm personally more into breaking, even if I also do popping. I've never joined a popping battle, but I will one day, once I clean up my body waves heheh.

Isn't there any separate event for popping kinda sad when popping is like a tag along to a bboy event. So? when's the next bboy event!!? I heard that there was one at MOA?,

Yeah, PA has been reppin Philippines so hard lately and they're helping alot on putting the heat on the Hip hop dance scene here in Phil. Well, at least many young people are dancing now than the past.

I've met the Philippine All Stars, and for sure they have some sick breakers. I personally prefer their breaking side to their "streetance" side, but it's their crew, so they can do what they want with it. They come out to cyphers and battles often enough.

There probably is, but like I said, I'm not in it so I wouldn't know when and where they hold them. Meanwhile the one at MoA I heard was just the Skechers thing. Not really a b-boy event. I honestly am so out of the loop. I have no idea when the events are, though I heard there's some scheduled this November. It's all just rumors to me right now though, since nobody seems to know when and where. "Basta meron!" is all I hear.

I'm not really a fan of "performances". I'm more into battles and cyphers.

For those interested in popping FOR REAL. Not the shoulder flicking thing that ASAP dancers do, and not the waving thing that lotsa pa-cool guys do, check out http://pinoyfunkinstyles.multiply.com/ i'm friends with them, so if you come to any of their open classes (both poppin and lockin), tell 'em tristan sent you, haha, just kidding. But if you're really into poppin, better get ready to be schooled about what it really is about.

imma watch the bboy & ballerina show on Nov 14, 8pm at the Olivares Coliseum. Got the cheapest seat available, hahaha.
