Anyway I'll be there this year. I was there in 2007. I was the tall guy that battled in 1-vs-1 but I choked up out of nervousness and didn't do a good job. It was my first real battle alone after all. I have more experience now and I might do a better job this year.

Honestly nawala din ako sa scene for almost a year wahaha. The most recent thing I was at was a cypher in March 2008. I didn't stop practicing since then but my work made me unable to go to battles, cyphers and other events. So I dunno what's been happening in the underground anymore hehe.

hey, thats actually where i started bboying, in the phils. I was born here in canada though.

I took some classes at VIBE studio, in metro manila its definitely worth checking out , and if you get tight with Vino and some of the other cats down there, they'll ask if you wanna come check out some cyphers and battles. They're really friendly too.

Tribal stores are almost a standard in malls now. Megamall has it, Robinson's Galleria, Metro East, etc...

Unfortunately Tribal focuses more on the punk and/or skater street fashion from what I see. It's the culture here. It's still cool and all but they used to show videos of b-boy battles on their big screens. Nowadays they just show some growling rock videos or something.

Philippines should have a big hip-hop scene right now; since we were the one who brought it to Asia.

But Rock took over... I'm not hating though, I just think hip-hop should be bigger in the P.I. right now... =/

Well the Philippines is into fads rather than actual dedication to any one culture. I know a lot of "hip-hop" people that were only in it for the fashion. Now they're into the punk/emo fashion, which is sad. So whatever's "cool" is what they are.
